The Stillpoint Piano Method teaches you how to play the piano through a multi-media approach that utilizes instructional video lessons, audio lessons, and a music workbook.
Video Lessons - The video lessons provide a great visual reference. The videos show clear demonstrations of the materials covered in each lesson. The video lessons do not contain relaxation and contemplative cues or any of the unique Stillpoint lucid learning techniques found in the audio lessons. The videos are much shorter and more concise than the audio lessons. If you are visually oriented, the video samples provide a very valuable reinforcement to the materials covered more extensively in the audio lessons.
Audio Lessons - They are the heart of the Stillpoint teaching method. The audio lessons are like having a Stillpoint piano instructor right there in your own home guiding you through your entire practicing session. The audio lessons are a unique blend of a piano lesson with a meditation session. The audio instructions cover the same lesson material as the corresponding video lessons but in much greater detail and with more thorough use of the Stillpoint Method lucid learning techniques.
Music Workbook - The Stillpoint Music Workbook contains fingering charts, diagrams, and notation examples that are used in conjunction with the video and audio lessons. The Stillpoint Workbook serves to enhance and clarify the lesson materials contained in the video and audio lessons. The pages are more effective if they can be assembled in order to form a bound workbook. The Music Workbook contains extra commentary and advanced tips that are not covered in the audio or video lessons. The workbook also serves as a great reference guide for continuing your piano practicing after you have finished the initial seven weeks of study in the Stillpoint Piano Method course.
